What Are You Taking For Granted?

East Toronto Chinese Baptist Church > Blog > What Are You Taking For Granted?

This past Sunday, Pastor Tim preached on Josh 5:9-12 and how for 40 years, the Israelites were blessed with manna from heaven to serve as food and sustenance during their time in the desert.  It was a blessing that they came to take for granted to receive on a daily basis.  Recall that the literal translation of manna is actually “what is this?!”.

What is this blessing?

I was reminded just last week of how great a blessing that our current location at 22 Carnforth Rd is.  On Wednesday morning, I had the opportunity to do an extended walk through with the engineering consultants for the Nehemiah Project.  At various times during our expedition through the many rooms, corridors and creepy corners of the building, the consultants verbalized how amazed they were of the size and amount of natural lighting we have.  There’s so much POTENTIAL…as Pastor Tim would put it.

Do you recall a time when you first started coming to ETCBC, looked around and said to yourself…“What is this place?”.  Perhaps it’s been months or years now since you first came and now ET is your spiritual home.

Everything we’ve been doing at ET since occupying this space in 1999 has been geared towards getting maximum use of this physical building so that God can get the maximum potential out of YOU, our congregation.

We think we can squeeze out more potential out of 22 Carnforth with a more efficient building layout.  With a dedicated Children’s Wing, a multipurpose central mezzanine, a massive kitchen, private classroom areas and a better office environment for our pastors and staff, we believe God will squeeze out more potential out of East Toronto Chinese Baptist Church in the days to come!

We’re Building A Blessing at ETCBC…please join us!

It’s YOUR SPACE.  YOUR VISION.  YOUR ET.
