Dear Friends,
I’m writing to share with you a very exciting opportunity God has placed in my life! From Nov 10 – Nov 25 this year, I will be going to Kunming, China with EMAS (Education, Medical Aid, and Service) to provide free surgeries for children with congenital deformities, burns, and other injuries. These procedures can absolutely change a child’s quality of life, especially if they were physically limited by their injury or deformity. Last May, the EMAS Kunming Project performed procedures for 54 children! I’ll be serving as a ward nurse to prepare for them for surgeries and care for them afterwards. We’ll be borrowing hospital facilities and local staff will volunteer from 2 local hospitals, which EMAS has built relationships with for over a decade. Imagine the witness they have given with the commitment and dedication of this ministry!
I’m inviting you to join me in this mission through prayer and encouragement. Please pray for:
- The medical team & support staff – to serve in unity & love, to maintain health & safety throughout the trip, and for wisdom in providing medical treatments
- The patients and their families who will benefit from surgeries – prepare their hearts & minds for this change in their lives, and to encounter Christ in this experience
- Spiritual safety – for the Holy Spirit to move in all those involved while limited by strict government laws
- Logistical items – sufficient medical supplies, mobilizing over 50 team members across borders and within China, and obtaining necessary documents, just to name a few.
