Tomorrow is the first day of my GLC (Guatemalan Life Challenge) week! If you haven’t already heard about this, please check out my prayer letter and my fundraising web page.
I’ll be sharing more about this experience, and what led me to undertake this, throughout the week – so stay tuned!
Please also pray for me and our ETCBC community during this GLC week. The Director of CTEN said this to me after he helped me set up the Canada Helps page: “May the Lord bless you as you go through this, not just that you would raise lots of money for PILAS (although that would be awesome, too!) but that you would have a deeper sense of Jesus’ love and compassion for the poor. I think that’s something we often miss in our first world perspective of who Jesus is and what that means for our own lives.”
Those wise words really humbled me and have stuck with me as I’ve prepared for this. I pray that the GLC will help us all connect more closely with Jesus’ love and compassion for the poor, and with Jesus himself.
