It’s been 17 months since we’ve heard the beautiful sounds of worship echo through the walls of the Inner Court. Since we were able to laugh and converse over food in the kitchen. Since we could share the space of Inner Court.
17 hard, intense and stressful months.
The growing pains of a 3 congregations sharing the once comfortable space of ET. And interestingly. It isn’t over yet.
We still have 250 people to 3 bathrooms. 250 people to half the space we used to have. But we see progress, the end is near.
But what does that mean for us, what have we learned from this? I hope and pray it’s not just us disliking each other. I hope it’s not that we prefer our own separate spaces and simply cannot wait to not be in each other’s faces.
But rather, I hope and pray. That we understand each other, got to know each other, things have changed for the better since we’ve moved in together. I pray for the love to bless this place. I pray that we can appreciate the space for all it is, and how 300 people sacrificed their comfort for 29 months and counting for the greater good.
I love my ET.
