Pastor Derek is the Children Pastor at East Toronto Chinese Baptist Church. He has been serving children and families for over 30 years in urban and suburban communities. His passion is to tell families about God’s love in creative and animated ways. He also enjoys collaborating with other people from different backgrounds. He lives in Toronto with his wife Andrea.
Derek has a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing from Ryerson University along with a Masters of Divinity in Youth and Family Ministries from Tyndale. He enjoys reading up on sneakers, eating pizza and fried chicken, dancing in the aisles of Costco, catching up with friends over hot coffee, and following the Toronto Raptors every year.
